CHURCH AT MINER’S BAY, ONT – late 1920’s

This unused Real Photo Post Card appears to date to the late 1920’s. The AZO mark that is utilized on the back was first used by Kodak in 1926.

The Cameron Road crosses the wooden bridge over the creek from Round Lake, and heads off into the woods and on to Minden.

It appears that the roof of the 1906 church is covered with wooden shingles. This makes sense, as they were commonly used. Across the road, the main building of the Bay View Hotel, also had wooden shingles at this time.

The small church property is surrounded by a wire fence. A century later, remnants of it still remain along the property line.
