2023 Review

MINERS’ BAY CHURCH – 2023

There were over six hundred and fifty attendees at events held at the Miners’ Bay Church this season!

Sunday night services were held from July 2 through September 3rd, and at Thanksgiving. Five different leaders led services and eight different speakers brought meditations. Musical accompaniment was provided various weeks by three MBL guests. Thanks to all who took part.

Over $ 3600 was received in offerings, with 83% being passed on to nine different missions and charities, benefiting various works in Haliburton County, Ontario, Ohio, Africa, and Haiti. Operating funds for the Church were topped up by a number of interested individuals.

On Wednesday evenings from late June to Labour Day, Local History Nights attracted close to 300 people. In addition to a selection of vignettes of Miners’ Bay, Gull Lake, and the surrounding area, each week featured relevant artifacts, and a “Gem of the Week” that revealed a local mineral, and a relevant scriptural reference.

Not included in the above statistics, were “50” participants from three Hike Haliburton events that learned of the church and Miners’ Bay history in September.

Sunday services and History Nights are planned for next season. Check out the MINERS’ BAY CHURCH website for details. Updates are made regularly during the off season.
